THUMBNAILS

THUMBNAILS is a study into the possibilities for integrated landscape art in the context of the widening of the A465, also known as “The Heads Of The Valleys”.
The route, approximately 40 km long, runs at the foot of the Brecon Beacons and connects the valleys of South Wales.

By translating the relief of the landscape into the fingers of a “scratching” hand opposite the fingers of a “blessing” hand, the landscape becomes readable in a new way.
At the same time, themes emerge around the A465 “Heads Of The Valleys”.
