REGIA PACIS

Inspired by the church square in the Italian village of Piënza, the projection of the church façade is the direct inspiration for the design and composition of the square in front of the Vredeskerk.

The rose window is echoed in an oval bronze bowl, and the three vertical lines of the tower project long lines across the longitudinal axis of the triangular square.
The elliptical bowl has the shape and structure of the leaf of the Victoria Regia water lily.
Elongated benches are integrated into the lines that delineate the square from the tower.
